Frankfurt, 26 April 2017 – The Silverton Group (Silverton) is further expanding its range of services with a participation in DESK.WORKS, the third-largest global provider of co-working space.

DESK.WORKS is a PropTech company, recently founded in Poland, with offices in Posen, Berlin and Silicon Valley. Aimed at start-ups, freelancers and entrepreneurs, it already provides flexible working space in 76 countries. DESK.WORKS operates more than 600 office locations in almost 300 cities around the globe. Its co-working space can be reserved, flexibly and without fuss, using an app.

For Silverton, as asset manager, participation in the future-oriented company gives the opportunity to integrate flexible working space solutions in the properties it manages and to market them worldwide via DESK.WORKS. This will make it easier to avoid vacancies and permit innovative interim solutions for office space with short-term availability.

Jascha Hofferbert, Director and joint founder of Silverton, comments: „The rapid changes in the world of work demand new types of workspace. Co-working space is a strongly growing international trend that is responding to the needs, in particular, of young people and new companies. Office property providers have to adapt to this. We aim not only to profit from this trend but to actively participate in it.“

Waldemar Ariel Gala, CEO of DESK.WORKS, adds: „We are very happy about Silverton’s investment for two reasons. Not only will we gain additional capital but also a very valuable partner, whose expert knowledge and experience will be a great help to us.“

The Silverton Group’s range of services also includes the investment and asset management of commercial property and loans secured on real estate; consultancy on transactions and processing in the areas of special situations, distressed debt and real estate; as well as risk advisory services and banking consultancy.
